About

I'm Colton Pomeroy, a software engineer. I build and ship products end to end, across emergency management, consumer mobile apps, games, language-learning tools, and websites for clients. Full-stack, whatever the stack the problem needs.

My deepest work is in emergency management and decision support: alert origination and CAP publishing, hazard and satellite-imagery pipelines, and the map-based tooling that helps people make faster calls when the weather turns. It's taught me to work close to the metal of a problem: real data feeds, real latency budgets, interfaces that have to be right the first time because someone is relying on them.

Away from that, I like shipping a lot of smaller things: apps and games, tools for learning languages, and sites for clients. Different domains, same instinct: take something messy and turn it into something a person can actually use.

This site is my working notebook. I try to post most days about what I'm actually shipping: the wins, the dead ends, and the details worth writing down. If any of it is useful to you, that's a bonus.

The best way to reach me is the contact form. You can also find my code on GitHub.
